Hyperreflexia anyone else
Hello Buckley123 ,
I have this. I believe it means overactive or very sensitive reflexes. In my case it gives me an irritable bladder so I have to watch what I eat and drink. I have congenital cerebral palsy and sjogren s and rheumatoid arthritis. My sensitivity has increased as I older and from taking methotrexate.
I am never sure how much is aggravated by or caused by the autoimmune issues or a is reaction to the medication?I
Stopping caffeine works for me.
Good luck with your journey too.
Thanks so much for your reply I have a irritable bladder to tbh I just put it down to having three kids.
How are you xx
It’s worth a double check with your GP on your bladder problems. It isn’t always a result of having children. Mine turned out to be completely unrelated urge incontinence, and ( gosh, I repeat this so often) there are meds that can help. They weren’t suitable for me, but an NHS prescription for very absorbent Tena Ladies helps while they find something else they can do. My muscles are very weak and have led to faecal incontinence too.
