There is nothing I can add to Laura’s post. These 2 Ladies Shemekia & Teria are absolutely wonderful, caring, & loving people. There is no way I can ever thank them enough for the kindness that they shown us today! If any of you are ever in Birmingham stop in at the Irondale restaurant, (Hamburger Heaven), good friendly staff and excellent food!

This was Laura’s post
Tiras Glasgow and I met with surgeon today. Still no date set yet and a few more things to do beforehand due to the complexities of his orher medical conditions. We headed home and were feeling a little discouraged. I was hungry (neither of us had eaten anything today) so we stopped to eat. We were standing in line trying to decide what we wanted when the manager motioned for Tiras to come closer; my heart sank; I knew it was gonna be about bare feet; and sure enough I heard her say “Sir, I’m sorry but you cannot be in here barefoot; shoes are required.” She was polite and not rude or ugly though. Tiras replied as usual that he has a medical condition that prohibits him from wearing shoes and showed her the Dr statement. She thanked him and said No problem, you’re welcome to stay. She and the waitress then began asking questions and were intrigued that he still functions normally regardless of weather or surroundings. The manager commented stating what an awesome testimony that he still blessed God through all that. We finished our order and others were now in line and the waitress moved us down the counter a bit, then brought us our food. Tiras stepped back and said Ma’am, we didn’t pay. Tears filled her eyes and she said No Sir and you’re not going to today. You’ve blessed me and I’m gonna do the same, we never know what shape we may get in. Guess who else now had tears. All I can say is my God is good. Thank you Teria and Shemekia at Hamburger Heaven! We were blessed today.
