Otherwise known as my knees! Trying to be light hearted as I lay here unable to sleep. This is my nighttime routine of wrapping, compression, bracing and ICE ICE ICEšŸ˜† I have a whole other set up for my bumšŸ˜³

Every night .... oy. Itā€™s just ridiculous.

Good morning katidid,

Hope you drifted off long enough for Santa to call. I daresay there were quite a few of us out here performing our nightly rituals, Xmas notwithstanding. I had a cold compress on my head most of the time, but did manage a reading of "A visit from St Nick", so it was all very festive ;) x

Sorry I couldnā€™t join you. So sorry for your knees. I donā€™t suffer this way but it sounds absolutely hellish.

My pain was in front pubic area then moved to my back..where it still is now. Plus ripples up into my upper digestive system.

I would definitely have wished your knees better times and you a happy Christmas. But our home is small and we are sharing a living space with our youngest son, who has severe tonsillitis and extended my own insomnia with his strangulated, swallowing sounds.

I got up just to feel his brow and check he was okay, only to trip over his wine glass full of spit next to the Xmas tree! He got cross and let out and anguished cry at me so I went downstairs to get him water and find the ibuprofen - only to find oldest son who had our spare room, rushing to toilet leaving a trail of horrendous wind behind him!

I do love my visiting sons to bits- but I also canā€™t wait for youngestā€™s antibiotics to kick in and for them both to return to their respective abodes on 30th so I can evict my snorepot hubby and dogs from our bed once more and return here for my 3am club!

Happy Christmas to you and your afflicted parts. May they behave as well as possible today šŸ¤žšŸ½šŸ˜Š

Oh Gosh...Boy am i relating to this...we gotta do this stuff ourselves...day in day out...all over our bods...at 65 itā€™s become ridiculous...the care routines WANT to rule my life....but my inner Matron is a bit of a raver who makes darn certain i grab patches of fun as often as poss šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£...for some time now my right shoulder & lower lumbar/sacrum have been demanding the most attention - the shoulder is cooperatiing more with management...so iā€™d love details of your bum set up!

Awwwww bless ya katidid..your poor knees!! With me it's dressings on hands n feet and if I don't have to do them it's like a real night off!! Mind u I have had nurses dress my feet and that's when I really do become krazykat..ie my poor feet try to kick the culprit across the room!! I literally have to hold them down because if I did kick believe u me it would hurt me more!! So I prefer to do them myself so that I know where I can touch them without wincing in agony...it is better all round..and safer!!

I hope that u catch up on some restful sleep when u can xx
