My dog always woke up with her tail wagging and went to sleep grinning. That's a lesson for life? xxx 😚

Great! So when can we move in?

PS I'm vegetarian, but I won't object if you feed the others Pedigree Chum.

What a lovely looking dog. You say "always woke". Are you without her now? They do leave a huge hole in one's life, don't they? I still miss my beautiful Doberman/Alsatian cross, who was run over in 1985. He chased a rabbit across a main road...

I was very blessed to have 13 years of happiness with her, and I'll miss her deeply. She was very bold about being venerated - as big hunting-type dogs have been for as long as humans have been around - and would poke strangers in the bum for a pat! (comes highly recommended...if you're a dog! 🀭). So sorry to hear the fate of yours, but maybe they'll meet in the happy hunting ground xxx

So sorry for your loss, very sad for you as we get so close to them don’t we? Sounds like she had a very happy life with you

My greyhound/whippet does the same and shhhh gets under the duvet with me on cold nights. I hasten to add his bedtime routine consists of paw washing and teeth cleaning and I never used to allow a dog on the bed let alone in it, and won't when he goes

.

His spine is pretty much the same length as mine so we can lie back to back, then lie like spoons. He feels the cold, I feel the cold, all is good. During the night, if the duvet has come off him he gives me an incredibly gentle tap with his paw ( obviously knows it may be best to let sleeping humans lie)

He gets out of bed before I do so that I can go down and he can do the happy "I haven't seen you for hours" routine.

It's a very beautiful thing, canine love, they have huge hearts. And that special lurcher dance is joy to behold πŸΊπŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’— xxx

🐾🐾🐾🐾 oh yes, he does a bit of an Irish jig if I scratch the right place on his back. Off the lead he's a sight to behold!

OH eekt...am here shedding tears...your beautiful photo could be either of our big long-lived rescue lurchers:Tommy & Spider...tommy came to us at 7 years old. After he left for the happy hunting grounds, 18 month old spider found us...both lived into their teens...we miss them dreadfully, but they are still with us...vvvvvv much feeling for you & everyone here who understands this bereavement XOXOXO

XOX Barnclown, I think I had a very long visitation from Anubis, Bau, Wepwawet or Set...come to help us humans out... And the way the hares, deer, foxes and rabbits are fleeing from my path, her 14g of electromagnetic energy must be sitting on my shoulder

I found a Milky Bone in my walking boot this morning...just how did it get there πŸ’“ πŸ’— πŸ’– πŸ’˜ πŸ’ xxx
