Dear people. I've had some weird symptoms the last year but the thought of having an autoimmune disease like Systemic Lupus never crossed my mind. I have persistent generalized lymphadenopathy and I have suffered from an attack of a severe lungproblem/inflammation but I didn't went to a doctor so pleurisy has never been confirmed.
I developed raynauds a year ago. Joint pain and mouth ulcers since a young age. Now I have redness in my face but it's not very visible, only in certain lights and it's a recent thing so I don't know if it will progress into a clear malar rash someday, so I send a pic and I hope some of you know more. Thank you in advance!

Malar rash? I don't know. Bear in mind that a) you don't need a malar rash to get a diagnosis of lupus/SLE b) there are a range of other systemic auto-immiune conditions that have symptoms similar to those you describe. All may be relatively mild, or severe - it varies a lot from one person to another. In any case, it sounds as if you would do well to consult your GP about this. The LUK leaflet on symptoms and diagnosis should help you understand what you and your doctor should be looking for. Do let us know how it goes x lupusuk.org.uk/wp-content/u...
I'm afraid we are not medically qualified here and so we cannot comment on what the cause of your rash may be. I would recommend that you make an appointment with your doctor so that you discuss the various symptoms you have been experiencing and have tests/investigations.

My question is not really about the cause of my symptoms but I just wonder if my facial rash seems lupus-like and whetether I'm the only one who sees the redness.
I'm afraid, as I said, due to us not being medically qualified we couldn't say whether your rash may look like lupus or some other condition. It is also important to bear in mind that lupus presents differently in everyone, so it may not always look the same.
If you are concerned about a rash I would recommend you see your GP and perhaps ask them for a referral to a dermatologist.
