Going back to my post about my daughter she was diagnosed with anckalosing spondylitis then went to see our phyio and she said I’m not a dr but it’s not the same as her other patients and see said I would get a second opinion so amazingly because we are now going private it took one week to get an appointment so off to the Nuffield on Thursday there goes the classic car but if she gets sorted it’ll be worth it ten times over

As in physio does not think it is AS? I'd assume the rheumy did x-ray and MRI? The criteria for diagnosis is very specific and women present differently to men hence the long held belief that women didn't get AS. Good luck with the appointment, always worth getting a second opinion no matter what it is
Hi yes she has had 2mri And several X-rays the rumi consultant said it’s a s but when neurology looked at scans they weren’t convinced they were leaning towards an infection although the scan was difficult to interpret ?
Hmm got to love it when different specialties disagree! As I understand my MRI was so conclusive there was no room for doubt, but I had no other consultants involved in my treatment. Hopefully you'll get some answers with the private hospital are you seeing a rheumatologist there?
Hi all we are now in a quandary since going private to help speed up diagnosis for my daughter who had previously been told it’s probably A S the consultant we sore did not @gree and said it’s more likely macanical??????????so we are now bake at sq one 🤬🤬🤬
