Help for my daughter

Hi all,

I would love your help with my daughter. She is 32, gets very tired, aching joints, has rash on her face & chest and gets very dry eyes.

I have SLE and so does my niece.

I have added a photo of her face.

The best help would come from her gp ordering blood panels with referral to dermatology and rheumatologist if deemed significant.

I can only echo what Roarah has said but to add :

Ask the GP for a broad range of bloods : FBC, lipids, liver, kidney, bone profile as well as CRP, ESR and auto immune antibodies ANA and DSDNA + others if possible.

There are many causes to the symptoms you have mentioned so try and rule out conditions at the early stage as well as ruling in.

I suggest a quick look at the BCR lupus criteria would help as well.

Unfortunately from what you have said and from her rash, it sounds autoimmune related. It's best she gets to the gp and demands bloods. It can be a long process.Wishing her and yourself the best x

Hi Aurali, you mentioned you have SLE so you probably already have an idea what it may be and just need to persuade her to go get checked out with the GP. I have SLE with an occasional mild rash but my daughter who has sjogrens tends to get a rash more often and vivid similar to the photo you’ve sent. Hope she gets some answers soon. X

I have sjorgrens and get dry itchy eyes I now have Evolve eyedrops which GP prescribed which have helped

Thank you, yes she does use eye drops, we will get in touch with our gp 😊
