I keep having these episodes, that last from half a day to 2/3 days, where I feel really flu-like and like I'm running a temperature, but when I take my temperature it's completely normal.
Does anyone else get this? I can't work out if it's related to my connective tissue disease or my food allergies, but it's making me so miserable. The only thing that seems to help is lying down, and occasionally paracetamol but it doesn't get rid of it π€
I know that low grade fever is common, but anyone get this with a normal temperature???!
Thanks in advance!

Not sure about CTD as a whole but it is very common in patients with PMR and GCA and I'd always considered it as a feature of many autoimmune disorders. I know a lot of people with the feeling of having a fever - but no raised temperature.
Thank you both, it's so comforting to know I'm not alone in feeling this! Have you found anything that helps it? I had a friend to stay this weekend and I felt like death warmed up; it ruined the whole weekend π€π’
I get this frequently and I have noticed it's worse if I have eaten garlic the day before. I try to avoid nightshade veg too and I tend to get it the day after being exposed to the "deadly" halogen light bulbs that I am so sensitive too.
I see it as a sign that my body is starting to attack itself so I go and rest. Often with a dose of paracetamol and a cheeky ice lolly out of the freezer.
I also find it's worse leading up to a period.
You're not alone but we all have our individual triggers.
