Methotrexate how long till it starts working?

For those of you that are taking methotrexate can you tell me how long before you noticed a difference?

Methotrexate can take up to three months to work!. This is why some have a steroid injection to tide them over till these drugs start kicking in!. Hope that's helpful and it starts to work soon. X

Everyone's different dut with me it took about 3 months,I was on tabs for 12 months but they made me feal dreadful but I asked for the self injections. New I get almost no side effects my fatigue is better and the jelly legs are a lot better but having a bad time with my hands at minute

Hello Loopydroopy

When I was put on MTX I actually noticed an improvement within a couple of weeks. I am also on 7.5mg prednisone, 400mg plaquenil and 500mg naproxen so maybe the cocktail combo is the answer.

Hope your improvement starts sooner rather than later.
