Hi
Can you help. I feel unsteady as if I'm going to fall. I don't feel dizzy just unstable.
Does anyone have any idea if this is a new symptom of lupus or something else
Thanks

I have that constantly. One doctor gave me pills for vertigo but they don't help and I even told him it was not vertigo. Neurologist said I have neuropathy so I am guessing it is caused by the nerve damage in my neck brought on by lupus.
I'm same - have had this for about 3 years now. In my case it's because the small fibre neuropathy (Sjögren's) and Raynauds have caused some permanent nerve damage in my feet and it affects my proprioception apparently - which in turn makes me feel a little giddy and unstable - especially when I'm very tired.
Yes Katie. I don't get dizzy just lightheaded. It's because of this I have walking stick. This is just in case I feel I'm going to lose my balance I can put it in the appropriate place on the ground. I also have neuropathy. My GP thought it might be postural hypotension but since halving my Amitriptylene dose I do manage better. That in turn makes my feet feel as if they're on fire. As GP says we have to chose between a and b !
