What's a trigger finger?
Yes, I did but I was under the impression that it was related to Sjogrens. I had a daytime and a night time splint made which seemed to help a lot.
Yes, I did have and struggled with it for about a year and 1/2, getting steroid shots as needed. Then the doctor said let's just fix this. So he did this surgical release process and I haven't had any more problems.

Hi Dogtired,
‘Trigger finger’ is caused by tendonitis which is common in people with SLE according to The Lupus Encyclopaedia. Just as lupus can cause inflammation of the joints, it can also cause inflammation of the tendons; this can sometimes cause swelling and pain but can be treated with prescription medication such as NSAIDs, steroids and hydroxychloroquine.
There are other types of treatment methods for ‘trigger finger’ which is discussed in an article from the NHS Choices’ website: nhs.uk/conditions/trigger-f...
