I have my first consultation on Wednesday to investigate possible Lupus or Mixed tissue disorder. I am expected to do a urine sample and bloods, but can anyone give me any advice on what to expect or prepare for the appointment?
I am aware that I need to take a list of current prescribed medication, is taking a list of symptoms recommended too?
Thank you.

Defintely take a bullet point symptom list with you and photos of rashes or swollen joints or Raynauds episodes if you have any of these. Each specialist is different so some will find this helpful where others won't be interested so just try and be as clear and concise about your symptoms and how they are affecting you as possible. It may be over before you can blink so it's good to be able to at least prioritise the worse symptoms and have key questions to ask if you have any.
This link takes you to a really good discussion about prepping for first consultations. This discussion was posted here earlier this year, so it's up to date.
This post gives you several links to vvv useful checklists etc that many of us have found great help when we're organising the info we want to present at consultations...that's ANY consultation, be it your very first prior to diagnosis of an autoimmune condition (any systemic immune dysfunction: lupus, Sjogrens, connective tissue disorders etc), or just another routine consultation years into the ongoing diagnosis refinement & treatment process
