Went to see new consultant Friday he spent a long time talking taking history from myself and my wife ( she dose not trust me on my own) I was told by the last consultant that I had lupus however he says I have autoimmune disorder with connective tissue problems sending me for a consult with chest dr due to shortness of breath and is seeing me in 2 mth at the ctd clinic his specialty hopfuly he is correct just want to know to stop my wife stressing good news same Meds hydroxy methatrexate folic acid tramadol

Good step as at least your gp knows they cannot know everything. My consultant is amazing. Xxx

Having someone go with you to appts is a good idea. You both take in written questions and take notes. It's not a matter of trust. An advocate is essential. Make sure she and you are up on all the details of the disease, drugs, side effects, etc. Be informed. I insist that my wife accompany me to Dr visits since we both pick up on different pieces of the conversations and compare notes afterward.
