Finally been booked an appointment with Rheumotology, but not until the 28th December
I know I should be grateful it is booked, but I am so gutted and feeling really down about it being so far away
Had to go to A&E last week because I had pains in my chest and arms for over a week and luckily my heart is okay from an ECG which has put my mind at ease a little, but I'm still worried about the pains and getting a diagnosis.

I'm glad to hear that you have an appointment, though I can understand your concern about the wait. You may want to try contacting the consultant's secretary regularly to see if there have been any cancellations and whether they may be able to fit you in earlier?
Sorry to read you are getting chest pains and not seeing Rheumy till end Dec!. That's a long time to wait!. Did A&E give you any treatment for the pain?. I've had similar for years and been greatly helped by an anti inflammatory colchicine. You might like to ask about it. In the meantime if you get that unresolving pain again you must go to A&E , it's the only way you could get your appointment brought forward or you could ring the clinic and ask to go on cancellation list. Fingers crossed you get something and let us know how you get on. X
