Have just picked up my prescription from the chemist,usually it's zentiva hydroxychloroquine believe befor it was plaquenal, the box I have comes from Bristol laboratories Ltd, are these the tablets that cause problems with some people.

Some people I believe have encountered some issues,and people generally blog when things change rather than when there is no change , myself included who transitioned without a single problem. So I would say don't worry about it and carry on. If you happen to have issues then see your GP. Gary

Quinoric is the one that can cause issues although I don't know the manufacturer. Hope this helps.

Yes Quinoric is a no no for me terrible side effects. You could google Bristol Laboratories to check before you take it.

Just looked it up, Bristol Labs makes Quinoric

Take plaquenil(hydroxichloriquine) every day for 12 yrs now, no problems.

Hi, I can only take the Zentiva brand as both quinoric & the Bristol Labs version gave me stomach problems & really severe itching. Try it, you may be lucky, but make sure your prescription states 'Zentiva preparation only' if you do get problems x

I've not had experience of the brand from Bristol labs but I can't take Quinoric because it upsets my stomac. My GP has put Zentiva brand on my prescription. The only local chemist that will get it is Boots and they have to order it in for me.
