Hi. DOn't you hate when technology plays up! Just wrote a post and then my laptop did this thing where the mouse pad has a bit of a hissy fit and just pleases itself what it does when you tap or move the cursor. Closed the tab I had open

I'm finding more the more I search.

I think maybe some of your meds might cause low LDL as there are or were 2 new drugs fairly recently licensed in the USA for treating statin resistant Hypercholesteraemia which were monoclonal antibodies (Iga ??) both with ending in "mab" and think some people with arthritis take this type of drug. Were your LDL nand Trig's always low?

This article talks about Low LDL and isn't referenced which is why I'm not a fan of the site. Intersetingly it mentions links with anxiety and depression, which I've suffered from for 20+ years, and other "signs and symptoms" but not specifically autoimmune disorders, however I guess some of the signs and symptoms could be related to autoimmune disorders.

Brains a bit slow today but this looked like it explored more fully and has references (click on references tab)

Still no reference to autoimmune diseases specifically

This one is complicated and too mucg for my fuddled brain. Talks about conflicting evidence in for eg SLE but suggests that Trig's and LDLs may be low in the early stages/at diagnosis and higher later on in the disease.

Section of a book called Vascular manifestations of systemic autoimmune diseases suggest that androgenic steroids reduce LDL cholesterol. Not sure if some autoimmune disorders affect androgens?

Still not much wiser really!

By the way, my LDL is 2.4 mmols/l or 43mg/dl

Triglycerides are 0.57 mmols/l or 10.2mg
