I think this link gives some of the best advice for patients having their first appts...and my feeling is that this info applies to any immune dysfunction condition whether lupus or UCTD or whatever...you could follow the advice in this link when prepping for virtually any of your ongoing appts including those with the clinic nurse about more specific probs like fatigue...just adapt the focus of your preparation to suit the priority of the appt you're having...but whatever the appt priority, you still do well to be prepared to talk about your overall condition because of the systemic, multisystem nature of lupus: no symptoms occur in isolation
This info is on the Lupus Foundation of America website...but its advice fits with my experience at my first lupus clinic appt in the uk, and all my subsequent appts over the past 5-6 years
