My ESR has gone down to 5 now does it mean I could stop the pills now, still having aches and pain?

I don't what meds you're on, so whether some of it could be reduced would be a matter to speak to your doctor about, but ftom what I understand of the condition, you need to continue with medication to keep the symptoms under control. And if you're still suffering with pain, then its not under control. ESR is not the only blood result they will take into account either. My last ESR was only 2, but my dsDNA was 340 and my consultant had recommended more meds if it hasn't gone down when I have my next bloods done. (That said, I don't really know what the blood results mean!).

Hi, I have had lupus for nearly twenty years and would say that it is best to leave your meds as they are as it can go up and down in such an unpredictable manner especially with winter around the corner and people catching colds etc. you don't want to be catching things off others. Besides it really is up to your doctors what to do with your meds they are the ones to decide what it best for you as they know the doses that is best to alter them by as if you are on more than one they may have to be altered together to avoid any unpleasant effects, believe me I have been there and it is not nice. I suggest that you ask your doctor if you feel you are well enough to come off your meds. It is great to hear that you are doing well and I don't want to be a kill joy and dampen your mood it is good that you are doing so well - I hope it keeps going.
