Has anyone found any benefit with over the counter supplements? I was reading the post suggesting that Vitamin D can be useful and I think I may try it but what about other ones? Has anyone found any other supplements useful? thanks

Please approach supplements with caution. Lupus is a very varied condition, so what might be helpful for one person, can be harmful for another. It is advised to discuss any supplements with your consultant before starting them.
Hi
Before starting vitamin D ask for a blood test. I know it was a routine check before I was referred re CFS and it was slightly low. If the GP felt it was necessary he would prescribe it but if not you need to get a baseline on how much you might need. I think too much vitamin D can be dangerous too. It is the 'in thing' though, so worth checking x
I would always get advice from my doctor. I havr various deficiencies identified via blood tests from my earlier days of being ill. Seemed I was at the GPs weekly with some issue and one by one he added supplements due to deficiencies and in the hopes of making me feel better.
I have added these things and they have takn the esge off the symptoms but no t resolved them.
