Good morning,

No sorry, this is the first time I've heard of it. Would be interested in whhat people think. Anything that could help huh? Hope your day will be ok. x

Hi! I have bought the book and read some of it. One would have to be quite determined to stick to this diet and I'm not sure when feeling poorly I would be able to stick to it. In theory it sounds great but I just haven't managed to commit to it as yet! I bought the book when feeling desperate and willing to try anything to make me feel better. However any diet that suggests consuming only water for 2 weeks is a bit worrying really. I'd like to see if its worked for anyone on here as haven't ruled it out.

Best wishes x

Holy Moly.... water only for 2 weeks! I think it's extreme and a bit worrying too. The body could go into shock and start detoxing with disastrous not to mention really uncomfortable results. Especially if someone is on medication. Fresh regular juices would be a better way to detox? And simple cleansing diet maybe? Interested if you know anyone else doing it?

I have been following the diet to the best of my ability (it is truly restrictive) for 2 months now. I bought the book at the begining of my current flare and don't know if there has been any benefit or not. I have done a lot of research on the internet about foods which are meant to cause an inflammatory response, most of which agrees with the book. However my own training as a Nutritionist does not agree with starving myself, but I have to admit feeling so much better on the days following those where nausia prevented me from eating. What I have learned is that alcohol was making me really tired and added to the insomnia and when I could't avoid gluten last Saturday I felt much worse on Sunday. So all in all I do think that there is something in it but you have to persevere with it.

Thanks all for replying. I too am not into starving/fasting so extremely.... I think it's dangerous, especially if you're on medication. In my own experience in my earlier idealistic life !! just one day on water regularly once a month, did damage to my kidneys.

I find fresh juices regularly is a good detox. Staying off foods I'm sensitive too.. wheat, corn ,potatoes helps keep energy levels up and lessens pain levels a little. Worth it for me.
