yup...all that. They have done ecg,and xrays etc...more bloodwork..urine tests..its all ok now....I have mild lupus, but with meds its bloodwork in normal ranges now....except I still have jabs to the heart at times..sharp pain just above my left knee....and the odd moment of being disoriented...an other stuff. Iswear my hands hurt more now, than before the meds, but my bloodworks normal...argggg. I do have a thyroid issue,(its slow-low), but also in what they call normal range now, however it does its thing up and down often these days...Im maybe 3 years post menopause...I often think the imbalance of your hormones can do lotta weird stuffs...
hI dgleds, my bloods are normal ... yet it contradicts other tests, MRI's and physical symptoms ... Rheuma is totally baffled as to why my bloods are normal as hes seen the systemic damage on the MRI's ... Ive been given one last resort to have a Lumbar Puncture ... then it looks like I'll be sent to the Lupus Clinic in London as a lone parent and living in the depths of Cornwall in pain ... im in no way looking forward to the journey and stay -x- And yes Ive heard Hormones play a part -x-
I only had one MRI before they even guessed lupus..it was cause I lost hearing in left ear for a bit..just woke up one morning...less able to hear. Its ok now, and I think it might have been a warning of more to come...They didn't see anything on that MRI, but didn't know I had lupus yet...Im a single parent too, and was looking after my Ma that was dying too...I think that's what got things going..sadly. Stress/hormones...slight hereditary thing..my gran had RA, but I don't have that....but I do have thyroid prob (slow)..I heard you can get package deals with autoimmune stuff..like coming in 2's and 3's etc. Cornwall...beautiful! I live way up the coast of BC, Canada now...I think Uk doctors likely better than here...we have a shortage too of Doctors. I really don't have a steady doctor at the moment, which adds to the stress.
Hang in there Elle-26 ...
Hi Diane48
If your chest pain gets worse you need to get it checked out at the hospital. They will do lots of tests as Lupus can affect the heart and lung linings that can cause strong pain. I've been thru it myself. As to leg pain I don't know, they may be unconnected but you could ask at your next Rheumy appt. Have you had Lupus long?. Take Care x
See your Doctor today it's very important ! you can't mess about with pains in the Heart area, pain in leg could be caused by DVT. Please let us know how you get on.
Hi Diane48, yes I have had similar pain ... found out it was to do with arthritis rib cage, hip, knees, spine, hands... to be honest everywhere and it gets worse when my flares start adding inflammation... doesn't help having fibromyalgia and spinal nerve problems ... The light headedness could be a nerve thing especially if you're dehydrated ... I was a coffee drinker but lately I've been drinking water .. weird ... I really hope you find the cause as I think we can all sympathise its frustrating as everyones Lupus path is different ... XxX
