Petition to call for the government to improve care for people living with Lupus in Wales

Hi all,

Please remove if this isn't allowed. Below is a link to a petition that seeks to improve care for people living in Wales that have Lupus. I am on of these people and I can personally vouch for the lack of care and specialist understanding of the disease - not to mention general facilities. Hi Serser, I have just read your bio! If there is anything I can do to help you, please let me know.

I don't want to appear to be telling you off (I am not) & I will not delete the petition, which is a noble cause.

I would have liked to have been informed because LUpus Patients Understanding & Support (LUPUS) is also a non-profit organisation for people-affected-by-systemic lupus erythematosus, lupus variant conditions & the antiphospholipid antibody (Hughes) syndrome.

Unlike Lupus UK, we do not charge for any of our services & frequently it is as if we don't exist, even though we are the only Lupus non-profit that has a full time psychotherapist/counsellor. Mental health is an area that is dismissed unless there are blatant symptoms which then leads to a psychiatrist, rather than determining that both anxiety, depression or even psychosis, can be a result of lupus activity. But, the first two symptoms are a "normal" response to a traumatic, chronic condition!
