what causes the welts and hives

I have not yet been fully diagnosed with lupus because my ana levels keep going back and forth. Any way the last few weeks iv been getting welts and hives. i am not using anything new.

Many lupus patients also suffer from allergies which lead to hives or welts. Trying to find out what you are allergic to can be difficult and in severe causes you may need to see a specialist who will perform a variety of skin tests which might lead to your knowing what is the cause. This is especially important if the allergy affects your mouth, tongue and breathing, in which case, you must see your doctor as soon as possible.
