My mum was diagnosed with Lung Cancer a few months ago. The tumour affects her oesophagus so eating has been a bit of a struggle.

She can't eat meat, bread, potatoes or fish. If she eats any of the previously mentioned she brings it back..which also can come down her nose She can get pasties down though :-/ Anyway, the question is has anybody else experienced a similar thing? I am worried as she has lost quite alot of weight :-( She is due to have her 3rd lot of chemo next week.

Hi there

It's not unusual to be off your food in these circumstances, but your best bet is to speak with your mum's CNS. She/he will be able to give you the best advice, as we're all different.

Best wishes, Bill
