My mum has just undergone a wedge resection of a 22mm lesion in left lung. Seems to have gone well, does anyone have experience of flying after procedure. We have apreviously booked flight for amonths time, just 2 hrs to our family villa in Spain. Would do her the world of good to recover in the sun. Will ask surgeon but hoping for some advise . Thanks Fran

Hello Fran

Lorraine from the Foundation here, sorry I can't provide any specific experience.

You might like to follow this link to some information avaialble on our website. documents.roycastle.org/Sur...

As you say best to talk this through with the medical team who are looking after your mum. Also worth thinking about travel insurance, a factsheet is available.

best wishes

Lorraine
