Hello :) Iwas told that it is three yrs since I had my big op to remove various tumours for my colon. I has now metastasized to lung and liver. I am, under the circumstances, a very fortunate person in that I show no further growth; I have other co morbidities such as high, then low hyper/hypotension.And Diverticular disease. Since you have busy lives, I will not engage you into the saga of my life! About three to four days a wk, I wake w a hangover, headache, nausea etc., I eat the same every day: cold chicken, potatoes, broccoli, and whatever is green. I drink nothing but water. My night medicine is Solifenacin ten m., Paracetamol and and Ibuprofen. Today I had a txt saying my kidney function was a little below normal I have something wrong w my portal vein. fall around a lot, have occasional brain fog.

Hello again JonBechstein,

Sorry to hear about your troubling symptoms. I think you should discuss these symptoms with your GP particularly as you will want to discuss the implications of the text you had regarding your kidney function. Your symptoms could caused by many things. It is important to give the medical team an opportunity to review you fully and identify the cause of these symptoms. Some of the tablets you are taking have the symptoms you mention as side effects. Medication can also affect kidney function. You will be guided by your doctor, he may suggest a trial off some of the meds or alternatives. Continue to look after yourself, it sounds like you have had a monumental health journey so far. Remember support is available, we have a range of support services, from one to one support to online support groups through zoom , if you are interested in any of these you can register through this link: roycastle.org/help-and-supp...

If there is anything else you would like to discuss you can email ask the nurse at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org or if it would help you to talk over your symptoms then call our free phone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200 Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 and Friday 0900-1600

Hope the symptoms resolve soon!

Thank you, you have been very kind! I am somewhat baffled; I am fortunate in that someone will call, but, since ignorance could move into denial, I thought here would be the place to ask, informally if any one has experienced this :) Thank you for being there, Kind Regards, Jon
