Do you help care for someone living with lung cancer? Would youl like to meet others in the same situation and get some support? We understand that time is scarce but a little time out to chat and get support from others can go a long way.

We are starting a carers group which will begin on Friday 28th of April at 10am. This is a great way to connect with others and to give and recieve support. A safe space to discuss how youfeel and to get some information at the same time.

If you would like to join in just let us know. we would love to hear from you.

I am a lung cancer patient rather than carer but hope it is ok to comment anyway. I think this is a great idea but would suggest it may be better timed in the evening, at weekends or over lunchtimes, so carers who also work have the opportunity to take part.

Hi Manninmaid, thanks so much for the comment. We have tried carers groups before and timings are very much an issue.. what works for one doesn't work for another. There is also the issue of facilitator avaiilability so we are going to go with this time to start off and see how we go but it can be altered and we shall monitor very closely!
