Hi CLOCKpicture46

A full body scan will show up any abnormality specifically in the lungs, heart, abdomen and pelvis. It can be used not just for diagnosis, but to observe the effect of treatment and help plan any future treatment that may be required.

Having both chemotherapy and radiotherapy can be quite exhausting, hope you rest well and recover.

This link from Cancer Research UK details the types of CT scans: cancerresearchuk.org/about-...

If there is anything else you would like to discuss you can email ask the nurse at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org or call our free phone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200 Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 and Friday 0900-1600

Kind regards
