Hello there, I am glad that I found this platform where I can gather information about the best Lung cancer treatment available or people who are diagnosed with the same. Recently I got in touch with my childhood friend and then I got to know that he is diagnosed with lung cancer and is in a mid-state of it. I was shocked to hear that. From that moment I started finding platforms from where I can grab all the useful information to help him.

Welcome to the forum and so sorry to hear about your friend.
There are many treatments for lung cancer, surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapies.
We have a range of booklets from diagnosis, the different treatments and living with lung cancer which can be found on this link:

Hello, sorry to hear about your friend! I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer last year. There are many treatments but it would depend on what type of cancer your friend has and at what stage! I am sure his oncologist will do everything that they can for him! So far I have had, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, gamma knife and targeted therapy! I feel great and continue to live well with cancer! I hope your friend responds well! Take care xx
welcome and sorry to learn about your friend but it's good of you to try and learn more about it. there is no single lung cancer - there are many types, stages and treatments and patients are all different as we all bring our own health situation along too! When I was diagnosed in Jan 2011 and had surgery, the treatment landscape looked very different. global research has provided so much evidence now about different aspects of different lung cancers and the best thing your friend can do is to ask questions of their clinician - as treatments can be very personalised dependent on the results of many different tests to determine the specific type and characteristics of a lung cancer. many patients have combinations of treatments - I'd strongly recommend using trusted resources like Roy Castle lung cancer foundation who work with clinicians and patients to keep their materials updated and easier to read than much that will appear on the internet which is outdated and inaccurate. however in the same way we don't need to know exactly every detail about how our cars work or the differences between different makes and models, it can be overwhelming to start reading up or asking questions about treatments that may be irrelevant due to clinical ineligibility.... many patients don't want to know all the ins and outs and others are very curious - find out their preference.... Be there for your friend, support them and treat them as they were before their diagnosis as we are so much more than a condition.... I found the book 'what can I do to help" by Deborah Hutton helpful for this. good luck to you both... roycastle.org/about-lung-ca...
