Hi

I have NSCLC but have never been told whether it is squamos cell or adenocarcinoma. Would I know by my symptoms?

Hi debs0768

You would not know by your symptoms, but is detected through biopsy and tissue analysis. It is best if you ask either your specialist, lung cancer nurse or GP what type of cancer you have.

Kind regards

Hi Debs0768

You are within your rights to access your medical notes and you can do this through your GP as they will have all the correspondence from the hospital. However your GP should be able to tell you what kind of lung cancer you have, are you in treatment just now or newly diagnosed.

Kind regards

Ask the nurse
