Hi just diagnosed with aggressive small cell, also in my liver, will see consultant on Fri to decide treatment , probably chemo, strangely I feel fit and well with no symptoms. My question is,are there any long term survivors, more than a couple of years on here with similar problem? Just looking for some hope in my situation, thanks for any replies.

Stage 4 small cell lung cancer
Diesel350, Let me start by saying that I'm sorry you have found yourself here. SCLC is awful BUT responds well to certain Chemo and does reduce in size. Firstly the length of time that you are asking for depends on how well YOU are. You need to do everything that the Doctors tell you. Keep eating to keep your strength up and keep strong Mentally.
I saw my wifes tumor DRASTICALLY reduced after 6 cycles of Chemo but I was behind her helping her with everything, making sure she made her appointments etc.
God Bless You and Keep Positive.

Thanks guys, I've been reading a lot lately about CBD Cannabidiol with Sevita L ,and low THC. I've read a book by Jeff Ditchfield very interesting and informative, am wondering if anyone on here has tried CBD for lung cancer? I've read of good results from different sources, it seems it's also very good at stopping nausea and sickness after chemo, interested to hear what you think, might give it a go.
hi Diesel350, there's always hope, even if that's all you have, always 100 % positive, there are so many positive stories around for you to take comfort and reassurance from, I have 2 terminal diagnosis going at the same time and I'm quite confident by how I feel that I will kick the hell out of both of them, starting to enjoy proving them all wrong again 😊👍❤👊
Hi Diesel. My mother was diagnosed in May 2016. Stage 3 small cell. Did chemo and shrunk, then did radiotherapy and pci. No reoccurence since end of treatment August 2016. I agree with babydolltina, make sure you eat even when you don't want to, find something you like and eat it even if it is not good for you just to keep the weight on and the strength there to fight.
That’s heartening to read. Thanks for posting.
Dear Diesel350
Welcome to the forum where you will find support and encouragement, as you can see from the replies you have already had.
It must have been quite a shock for you to hear of your diagnosis but encouraging that you feel fit and well. You should have been allocated a lung cancer nurse specialist, they are a great source of information, advice and what local support is available, if you do not have one you can request this at your appointment on Friday.
We have an information booklet on small cell lung cancer which may be a help for you:
