I was told that I have a 2.8 cm in my right middle lobe, but it was removed so I don’t get it but it says malignant liaison and my question is chemo the only answer? What about surgery or radiation??? Anyone know?

Doesn't make sense. How can they say it's a malignant lesion if it hasn't been biopsied?

Just saw my doctor and he said he will go with a plan with the tumor board and I’ll either do radiation or chemo or both I’ll know next week

You have a great point why did they say maligant

Suggest you ask your doctor whether you can call or email their secretary if you have questions about your letters in future as it's supposed to be a letter to your doctor but understandable to you. Often we are confused by what's said in the meeting or don't think to ask - for fear of appearing silly or as we're trying to process what's been said - some will give you the secretary's or CNS's number. it's important to ask your own medics as so many aspects are approached on a personal treatment path these days. good luck. hope you get some answers soon.

Surgery was my best option. I refused chemo because one dose nearly killed me. I was diagnosed in 2011. Two lobes of my right lung...gone. Recovered quickly since i have been doing aerobics since 1980. In 2016, metastasized to other lung, clavicle, femur, spine...was on Tarceva for a year, stopped working...now on Tagrisso. Minor side effects but not once have I experienced symptoms. Research. Be well.....
