You should be guided by the specialists managing your care. If a biopsy has been suggested this will provide very accurate samples of the lung tissue which will help in deciding how your care will be managed.
It is understandable that you feel a bit confused on what type of investigation you are having. You can ask for a second opinion and your GP can request one for you.
The ebus tabna is certainly more detailed than an endoscopy, it allows for better access to difficult areas and for obtaining tissue or lung fluid for biopsy.
If you wish to discuss this you can call us on our Freephone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200.
If you have not seen the Consultant at the clinic lately, this can be requested either by your GP or you could call their Secretary to see if an appointment has been allocated for you.
The consultant do nothing in the clinic but looking at images and give you briefing and what to do next . This does not happen in London hospitals . They give you only 5 min per nhs instructions
What I need consultancy and how I can move to another caring hospital
There is no need for second opinion as such
If I do biopsy in this hospital and through their efforts goes colapse in the lung or another thing I will not be informed
At this stage I don't like to complain but to move to another hospital
As I am not confused I hope I made my message clearer now
