Day 2 after upper right lobe Lobectomy . Still got drain in and catheter and feeling in a wee bit of pain. Slept all night in same position . Fingers crossed get both out today.

That drain is a pain in the side in more ways than one way. I send hope that you do get it out today.

Unfortunately I had a drain in for 3 weeks but what a relief when it was taken out and actually sleeping in a different position was heaven hope it all goes well.

Hi Alison, I had upper left Lobectomy about 9 weeks ago. I felt great afterwards, but 2 weeks later I had fluid on the lung so was admitted again with drain in. It is a horrible experience, and painful so I can relate to how u are feeling. But when you get it out its amazing, no bottle to carry around lol. Hope you get it out soon, and wish you all the best for the future x
