Having test

Hello I am having test for lung cancer (x ray ct scans I had a meeting with a consultant who told me that the Radiogist and herself were worried that I had large shadows over the tops to the back of both lungs' They thought were cancer. She told me that they were going to perform a bronchoscopy (had this Tuesday)have to have another full body scan next Tuesday but didn't think they would see much because of these dots being so deep to the back of my lungs and that I would probably need key hole surgery to take a sample from my lung I had breast cancer 6 years ago please can you give me some ideals on what to expect also a smocker

This is a tough time for you and I hope your Lung Nurse is able to help you. Awaiting for test results can be a really difficult phase. It is important that your team have all the right information on which to base your treatment options. Once the results are back from your scan next Tuesday you should be given a clear picture of what is best for you.
