Has anybody contemplated using Cannabis Oil to treat their Lung cancer? Seems there's been good results using it.

Here's the background to the use of cannabis oil to treat cancer..... Despite government and UN stance regarding cannabis as an illegal narcotic. It is now an established fact that cannabis is a safe and effective medicine, supported by a very large body of evidence and further supported by patent filed by the US government, 6630507, and while an outright cancer curing ability for all types of cancer in humans has yet to be proven 100%, there is more than enough evidence to support its use as a cancer killing medicine, and its safety, a fact supported by patent 20130059018. The latter patent was filed by two pharmaceutical companies one of which, GW Pharmaceuticals, currently grows cannabis under licence in the UK and produces cannabis oil which is used to create the currently approved cannabis drug Sativex. There is no reason why, in exchange for being allowed to produce cannabis, GW Pharmaceuticals should not be made to produce pure cannabis oil which could be provided to all cancer patients who wish to use it as a treatment option, and could be easily, and with minimal expense, provided through NHS. Similar programmes could be introduce in all other countries. With assistance from fully trained doctors and with unhindered access to high quality cannabis oil medicines, the potential for cannabis medicine, particularly as a cancer treatment, can be realised and it's cancer curing potential can be proven once and for all. Currently cancer patients are suffering and dying while governments continue to prohibit this valuable medicine, and the only current access to cannabis based medicines is through expensive and compromised drugs like Sativex and Marinol, none of which represent high grade, natural medicine. Marinol is synthetic THC, while Sativex is natural cannabis extract/oil heavily diluted in an alcohol solution (the presents of the alcohol actually decreases the safety of the medicine, as well as drastically limiting it's potency, and there for it's medical potential). Both of these current cannabis drugs are approved as safe and effective medicines, and both are patented products. Their existence represent the hypocrisy of governments and medical authorities regarding cannabis as a medicine. While Cancer research organisations pander to the pharmaceutical industry, a genuine cancer treatment and potential cure remains ignored and suppressed. Please support this petition to finally answer the question - can cannabis cure all types of cancer in humans?

There are several petitions for the use of Cannabis Oil on Internet, I think this one is the most appropriate to promote as it does mention the use of the oil for cancer. < epetitions.direct.gov.uk/pe..., >

Hello

This is an interesting topic. The current evidence is not adequate in relation to lung cancer.

We would encourage people to look at the detail below,

The problem with scientific trials, apart from the difficulty up to now in getting permission from those who have power, is that science has to work in prescribed ways, [or do I mean proscribed?], and the evidence from ordinary people is discounted, even if they are brave enough to flout the law. I saw no mention on the link provided by LorraineD [I may have been too impatient of course] of CBD, which is the cannabinoid which is the one involved with anti-cancer activity, literally causing cancer ccells to die, while not affecting healthy cells. THC is the cannabinoid the killjoys and control freaks object to because people get 'high', ie. relaxed, happy, and we can't have that except with the lergal and taxed recreational drug, alcohol, and we all know that's as safe as houses of course.

There is no evidence that THC harms anyone, none which is credible and not hysterical hyperbole, but still the same old myths are propagated mindlessly by those ignorant of the facts. CBD is now being seriously investigated and claims of it curing cancer are widespread, and with no dangers one does wonder why hemp isn't legalised at the very least for medical use across every country, as it has been in many US states already. That way very quickly we would find out by sheer numbers of results if the claims are true. This would affect the profits of pharmaceuticals, which we know are very big business and very profitable, especially in cancer treatment.

Given the track record of prohibition of alcohol, which led to organised crime in the US and widespread flouting by otherwise normal, law-abiding people, those upholding the anti-cannabis legislation seem unable to learn the simple lesson; banning a substance people like is akin to handing it over to criminals to profit from, when it could be regulated and taxed. Either the 'just say no' brigade are as thick as planks, or there's a hidden motive behind the law and its continuance. Big pharma is wdely considered the prime influence, and already some [US of course] pharmaceutical companies are attempting to pattent cannabis. It won't work, the plant grows wild all over the planet and has been used by humans since we became human, and perhaps before.

Smoking isn't good for the lungs, full stop. But that's just a crude method; others exist such as cooking with it, making drinks with it, and latterly with vapourisers, which don't give out smoke, so no damage to the lungs. Vapourising CBD rich cannabis strains [indica] is most likely the most effective method of ingesting this beneficial herb, which has also been shown to be effective in treating glaucoma, epilepsy, pain, and nausea from chemo-therapy [the last wouldn't be necessary if CBD were exchanged for the vicious chemicals which make people sick while attempting to cure them. It almost reads like the plot of a ridiculous work of fiction, but alas is true, and millions languish in jail for possessing this herb. Yes, there should be agitation to scrap these barbaric laws, and start saving lives rather than ensuring big profits for pharmaceuticals, paid for out of health services.

I would love to debate this issue in depth with any medical professional who disagrees with the above. Any takers?

And I haven't even mentioned cannabis oil treatment for skin cancer. Google Rick Simpson's oil for details.

Absolutely agree topgun & Kai2014 - I think it is reprehensible that UK citizens are not granted the same access to a potential life-saving treatment that people in other countries enjoy.

Cannabis oil has helped me. I was stage 4 adeno with a rare exon 20 mutation. I did chemo and cannabis at the same time and I believe it's worked synergistically together.
