Hello

How is your treatment going so far?

Sorry that you have not had any replies. We do know of people who have had a combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. You may want to look at the "Share our stories" section of our website.

We also have information on radiotherapy and our new "Living with Lung cancer" pack contains suggestions from other people who have been through treatment.

If we can be of any help, please call our helpline on 0333 323 7200 option 2

Hi Imonlyoung,

Just thought to ask how you are, and if youre having radiotherapy?

I can't give any help at moment since I haven't had this treatment yet! I have my consultation appointment with rad onc tomorrow...want to get on with having treatment to blast this little blighter, in my right lung, also little concerned with regard to side-effects, so searched posts here, and on Inspire.com

Heard Manuka honey is very good (spoonful before and after treatments) also aloe Vera juice but don't think you can take it whilst on chemo. I would suggest you always check with your onc, lung nurse before taking anything. I've tried Manuka honey recently since been having heartburn, and found honey working for me.

I don't wish to take anything that reduces the effects of my Gefitinib (Iressa) treatment, that has worked brilliantly for past 16 months

Take care, and stay strong together we can beat this!
