Hi, my father was diagnosed of Advanced Prostate Cancer in Dec 2017.Now, he has also been diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cáncer. It is localised in the lung 7mm with one positive node in lung as well. I was wondering if anyone here could help me on what to expect. I read that even in a limited stage small cell cáncer has a poor survival prognosis. Prostate Cancer is under control now. Thank you

It's true that small cell cancer is a tough one to treat but recently FDA approved immunotherapy treatments are changing those statistics.
My coworkers husband was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer in 2007. His was also localized (limited stage), he also had COPD and heart disease. A heart attack took him 7 years after he was diagnosed. The immunotherapy treatments didn't exist then.
Please let us know what treatment they decide to give you. We can tell you what each of us did to manage any side effects.
Hi Denzie, thank you very much for your answer. It gives me hope. He Will receive Chemoradiation. Now he is receiving chemo once per Month, 5 sesions. He Will start with radiation along with last chemo session
