Oh wow, Congrats. What treatment did you get?

Joe tippens of mycancerstory.rocks claim to be cancer free too. He’s in remission during the last 30 months.

Back then only 1 regimen Cisplatin,Etopiside... I was in a clinical trial and got chest radiation 2x a day !! I then had PCI. Minimal lingering side effects of neuropathy and my ears get waxy get cleaned out every 3 months(I have no little hairs in my ear canals ) How are you and what treatment did you get? So much more being done for Small Cell thankfully..

I was recently diagnosed with NSCLC, adenocarcinoma in August. So far I’m doing alright. I’m taking tagrisso for it. I had a bit of skin rash and neuropathy in the beginning of treatment, but it’s under control. Besides that I’m in good health.

Congratulations! I’m almost 9 years with nsclc (but I’ve reached out to some sclc patients). Keep those milestones coming. Your experience will bring hope to so many.

My co worker’s husband succumbed to a heart attack after living for 7 years with small cell. His treatment was almost exactly the same as yours and his passing was not related to his cancer.

I’m 4 years out and doing great except from some nerve/scar tissue discomfort from the VAT for the removal of upper right lobe. Was very fortunate that it was caught early during routine physical, and didn’t need any treatment after surgery. Keep strong people!

I just finished my treatment for limited stage SCLC. I had tumors in my right lobe near the airway and on the lymph nodes so no surgery. 4 rounds of Cisplatin/Etoposide and 33 rounds of radiation. My tumors reduced in size by more than half post treatment, Last day of chemo was 9/11/19. I started Techentriq in October. My most recent CT scan 3 months post treatment showed no progression of disease. Praying what is left is scar/dead tissue and praying the Tecentriq is working if I still need it to, but really no way to tell for sure since everything stayed the same since starting it. I’m an otherwise very active healthy 42 yo woman. Exercise 4-5 days a week and participates in equestrian sports. Never smoked. Reading these stories of people being ok after 9 years gives me hope. Thank you!!! It’s hard to find any hope on the on internet for SCLC.
