Welcome! This is a great site for support and to ask questions. I am 73 and also stage 4 NSCLC. I was diagnosed in 2013. After 3 years of treatment I have had no evidence of cancer. So, I have been surviving for seven years now and just wanted you to know there is hope.

All the best,

Judy

Thanks, Judy ... I am seriously working at maintaining the glass half full life outlook,

Roy

Hi and welcome. You will find plenty of cancer survivors here. I have had lung cancer twice, beat it both times. One of the moderators here Denzie just hit the 10 year mark with stage 4 lung cancer. There are many inspirational posts here. Look around, ask questions, the people here will do their best to help you.

Thanks, Katherine ... I am seriously working at maintaining the glass half full life outlook, Yesterday, I saw my treatment team and they are very optimistic of being able to at least maintain my current "stable" status

I am very lucky that i have always been a glass half full person. But I still remind myself all the time that I am very blessed to have been able to beat cancer twice, and that every day I wake up in the morning is a good day.

I've also been having immunotherapy for the last 7months and would like to say stay strong lovely, thinking of you.

Welcome. It IS hard work to stay positive, but it sounds like your team is helping you do that. I have been on immunotherapy since December after more than 70 chemo treatments (stable) over the prior 4 years. I switched to immunotherapy when scans showed a small amount of growth in a previously stable lesion in my lung. There is never a good time for a cancer diagnosis, but this is a better time to have lung cancer than ever before. That sounds backwards, but I simply wish to encourage you. Best wishes.
