Vomiting after scans?

Hi!

My mom had a follow up CT scan and a MRI both with contrast today. She’s had them in the past with no issues. She felt terrible afterwards and vomitted a few times. She’s on maintence chemotherapy now and scheduled for a kypoplasty Monday. Has anyone else been sick after scans?

Only once when I had I had two CT scans back to back. I had a vicious headache w/ nausea that evening. The doc on call said it is not uncommon. Even though I had been hydrating, he suggested I drink even more to help move the dye through. He also told me to come back in if it got worse. The headache/nausea resolved after a few hours. Don’t hesitate to call your doc if you are worried and especially if your mom doesn’t start feeling better.
