My dads doctor called me yesterday with an update on his scans. She let me know that he seems to be showing a response to the chemo treatments (Carboplatin), and that the spots on his liver have shrunk significantly. She also let me know that she did not see any new growths since his last scans in March. She wanted to do a more thorough review and was waiting on his last scans to be sent to her from the Boston Dana-Farber. My dad gets some of his treatments at the Dana-Farber campus in Weymouth, MA, because its closer, so its important his two doctors communicate.
She would let us know if she finds anything suspicious, but wanted to give me a update to calm my nerves. Dad was suppose to have chemo today, but since hes been having bad diarrhea they post pone it to next week. My dad seems to be in ok spirits but just feels like he has no energy and is tired. He really wants to his his strength and balance back.
I think the prayers are working and God is listening. Keep the prayers coming for him and thank you all for the support. Nothing is impossible with God's help.
With love and Prayers-
Lisa

I am so pleased to hear that your dad is showing a response to treatment. That is one small step in the right direction. I can relate to the no energy and that does have such a huge impact. Let us all hope and prey that the good response continues and that energy levels build back up. Thank you for posting this update and keeping your dad on the right track.
I know how he feels, I am nearly in the same place, with good results as well. The feeling of weakness and fatigue has been my worst side effect, but it seems to be easing a bit after what seems like months. Hopefully just seeing springs rebirth will help even more! Please tell your dad not to give up hope, the old him will come back a little at a time. In the meantime celebrate the good scans!
Praise God!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for y'all. That is a wonderful doctor to call and calm your nerves. Prayer warriors in Texas will be thrilled. We will not stop😊
It is so great to hear that your Dad continues to improve. I too can relate to the tiredness and fatigue. Actually if I weren't tired with low energy, I feel I would be almost normal but when our immune systems get so suppressed for so long, I think it will take awhile to build it back up. I will continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings🙏🏻
Wonderful news!!! Hope your Dad continues to improve, a ray of hope during this troubling time . My numbers are good this month, I have lung cancer and get a shot of Sandostatin every month. We will keep the prayers coming, God Bless!
