I was diagnosed with stage iv lung cancer in January 2019. Because of my high PD-L 1, Keytruda was my best option. So far I've had tumor reduction of 50-65%. All medications have side effects, however I've only suffered with 2 side effects so far. My oncologist prescribed 2 different medications to treat them. Each person reacts differently with Keytruda. Some people have no side effects at all.

This explains the results of a study released by its manufacturer which demonstrated that pembrolizumab increased 5 year survival rates significantly. For most patients it does so with improved quality of life.

Please know that this is the treatment former President Jimmy Carter has be on for a couple of years. He is back to hunting and building homes for Habitat for Humanity at 90 something years old.
