So I have a pneumothorax October 27, 2018 was released from the hospital November 8, 2018 with not understanding why my lung collapsed. November 22 I had the VATS on my right side and it has happened six more times since then they still don’t know why, I might need another surgery if it keeps interrupting my life but no intervention is needed it just heals on it’s own. But I think it’s going to need to be done.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions because they don’t understand why it happened or why it keeps happening I’m just upset because I feel great and it happens again for the past seven months.

Have you thought about getting a 2nd or 3rd opinion? Sometimes fresh eyes will help greatly. Wishing you the best success

Yes I got a second opinion because the first surgeon didn’t do the job correctly so I might need a second surgery if my lung keeps opening. That is what is causing me fear because the memories come flooding back in with the pain but they said it will be much easier this time Pain wise but harder for them to redo procedure.
