We made it home

After 2 weeks my husband did make it home. We had a return visit last week and despite multiple IV antibiotics he still is not well. After a bronchial wash he was diagnosed with BOOP, Bronchiolitis Obliterans with Organizing. A rare lung condition. They think this BOOP is also covering metastasis in what we always refer to his "good lung". New area near collar bone and stomach still growing. At present he can not resume any chemo due to lungs have to cleared from this BOOP. After 3 1/2 weeks no improvement. My husband I though was the strongest man in the world. My daughter always said "Mom he is just rough around the edges". Always spoke his mind but in a kind way. If you don't want the answer he was one you better not ask. Just wanted to share a little about this man who has always been my rock, protector. He is so weak still getting up though and pushing himself. He does sleep a lot everyday but that is okay too. Thank you for your many prayers. We just don't know from one day to the next. One evening he looks at me and said "I think I am losing this fight". A fighter he has been for 2 1/2 years. I love this husband of my. Please continue with your prayers for his pain, his peace.

Hi I'm so sorry to hear this. I want to know that your getting enough rest. I know it's hard I'm praying for you both. As care giver you need a break once on awhile I don't want you getting your self down. It won't help either of you

Always know I'm here for both of you and I care very much I'm here if you need. me. If you need someone I'm a good listener. Love susiejo1948

Glad he has made it home. I know he must be so frustrated by the BOOP. I will pray that being home and getting rest there will help him heal from this condition so he can continue his fight. As always, I pray for peace for both of you.
