Being of service and help to others also helps the giver. Thanks for that reminder.xxoo

Lung cancer month sure isn't like breast cancer month - and I can participate in both. Love that they are making huge strides in lung cancer. To be honest, I was very active in breast ca month, but now just want cancer to go away - it has been a long 15 year journey with 5 primary cancers and I'm just plain sick of even hearing the word! Ended my month long doctor strike and am now actively looking for a third opinion because my primary ca oncologist didn't listen when I told him I want to know everything and was very clear that he could not scare me. Don't want to go back to the 2nd opinion - they helped but are now being investigated for fraud and bad medical practices. Had I done what they wanted, which was to have radiation 4 days after the biopsy, I probably never would have healed - felt very much like they were poaching me from my primary and glad my instinct kicked in.

We are a strong community, and I have learned so very much from everyone! Still gun shy on chemo after breast chemo, but hearing stories of how much different it is has led me to rethink the whole no chemo/no surgery stance. Thank you to everyone who has chimed in!
