Went to surgeon today. No to surgery at this point. Wants to do a combination of radiation and chemo to try to shrink it down. They are more concerned about the node. Setting me up for PET Scan asap.
Just want to get the ball rolling here. I feel so angry! Angry at myself for smoking.
I can't reply to posts for some reason. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I hit reply but it won't let me type.

Hey Mytwin....i think most of us have gone thru the same angry feeling for smoking, but i say this with the kindness of my heart stop the anger because even non-smokers have also developed lung cancer. Stop beating yourself irs not your fault. Please you're going through a rough time now but it will get easier to manage. I will keep you in my prayers and don't be shy and ask your doctor for anti anxiety meds....well you're in the this great site with such great poweful and inspirational fighters!! It's ok if your unable to answer for now. Sending love and light and God's healing power🙏🌷🎉🎊
I am a non-smoker who had lung cancer. Can smoking contribute to getting lung cancer- yes, but it does not have too. My grandmother smoked 3 packs of cigarettes a day and had multiple myeloma, of which she died of. So stop beating yourself up, nothing you can do can change the past- just go forward and put all your energy fighting this disease. Sending you a big hug!!
Yes - please hear these voices - they speak the truth. You are in today, fight like crazy, and love yourself. You are priceless! Leave regrets or guilt to the wind, it has no purpose! Hugs, Peggy
There are 2 days in our lives we can't change today. They are yesterday and tomorrow. I have a non smoking lung cancer; however, I did smoke a few years when I was younger nearly 50 years ago. Let it go and forgive yourself as you would forgive others. Blessings in the new plan for your treatment.
I have read that nicotine is as addictive as heroin. I never smoked but have Stage 4 lung cancer anyway. And if you told me to give up chocolate forever, I'm not sure how I would give THAT up, let alone an addictive substance! please forgive yourself. Try to live in this day today and let go of past mistakes...your quality of life is too important now to waste it in regrets. And if you haven't quit smoking yet, please reach out for help to quit now. Good luck to you as you live with lung cancer.
Thank You. I have smoked about a half of a pack a day for 40 years. I actually stopped cold turkey the day I found out that I had Lung Cancer. Wish it could have been sooner.
Mytwins02, you did great - wonderful that you have stopped, please don't feel badly about the past, we do the best we can when we can...that's all we can do. Hugs, Peggy
