No but as long as you use it as a complementary treatment and are not expecting it to cure you, you should be okay. I've a couple acquaintances who use it to manage the side effects of their treatment.

This is a copy and paste fro

The answer my friend gave me regarding the MMJ recommendation. Please note this is outside my experience but I do trust my resource and have invited their participation here.

Edibles are the strongest. A little goes a long way and everyone reacts differently. An Indica is probably best, as it is the "couch lock" kind, vs Sativa, which gives you energy. A high CBD will not be psychoactive, but a high THC will.

If the person can get ahold of a high CBD, full Indica strain, they wouldn't be high, but could be very relaxed and sleep. That would be what I would look for.

I hope this is helpful

She said there hasent been research done on doing the hemp oil with Opdiva . Now I'm a little concern about doing it . 24 hrs after my first treatment no side affects , good appetite and not sick or feeling tired .

You can get BAD Hallucinations when the oil starts to wear off before your next time in taking the oil. Like I said ` Different people put and mix different things in there oil BUT mine was Pure. I started at 25mg at the end I was doing 1,5000 mgs of 50's in capsules and 750mgs of CBD tincture drops under the tongue. All I can say is they want a lot of $$$ for it and if it works on you GREAT but it didn't on me.

I've had friends use it and I have tried a small touch of the oil, without any real payoff. Here is what I have gleaned.

It can be useful for SOME patients who are having trouble sleeping or dealing with nausea.

It can be useful for SOME patients who are dealing with anxiety or pain.

It can stimulate the appetite for some patients, too.

Outside of those areas, I have heard or seen nothing to suggest any practical use.

Personally, I didn't like it when I used it to help me go to sleep. I've tried a handful of times, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for.

Part of the issue is that everyone reacts somewhat differently to the chemicals -- and beyond that there is no consistent method of dosing, limited (or no) quality control, and wildly varied "delivery mechanisms" involved. Not only will no two people have exactly the same response, it is likely that an individual patient will have different responses to the same product at different times. We are talking about a bio-active compound here, something that is not standardized. There are many different strains of plant that these products come from, all of which have varied chemical signatures.

As far as side effects go, some people have increased levels of anxiety, paranoia, etc. It is easy to take too much and experience psychological and physical symptoms that are unpleasant and potentially dangerous. I'm not a doctor, but I listened to one speak about how new strains of marijuana being smoked by kids are so much stronger today than they were twenty or thirty years ago that kids were ending up in the emergency room in record numbers from smoking too much -- this was a couple of years ago in Los Angeles, and I never saw statistics on this, so take it as an anecdotal story only. I mention it only to illustrate that there are people out there cautioning that too much is harmful and it is easier to get too much now than ever before.

Hi jopehlmann :: Yes everything you said they say will work BUT my friend has Lung , stomach and it moved over to the liver. She was doing a Hemp oil called Black hash. It is helping hers to disappear but she's also doing Chemo. Oh on the kids ending up in the hospital . The PURE oils are grown, taking care of then put threw machines to make oil. Kids today who ever is growing it is mixing (lace with something ) with the pot. They've done that since I use to smoke it back in the late 60 - 70's.

thank U again Z..very valuable info..i started treatment at the cancer center 5 days ago and so far I have had no problems . I bought some hemp oil just to be prepared , I was informed of the side affects of the chemo I'm getting . I asked my Dr what she thought about the oil and she wasent happy . She said there wasent any testing done about mixing the two and she was worried how it might affect the drugs I'm going to be on . So I didn't do it !! and I'm not sure if I'm just lucky but I haven't had any problems so far (knock on wood) . Again thak you for your valuable info and time . I wish you the best and youre in my prayers...Spiro
