Hi all,

I'm on my second day of chemo this round one more to go, it doesn't seem to have gotten any better since my last round 3 weeks ago. I will certainly be glad when it's over. I have one more round of chemo and 15 radiation treatments left then hopefully I be in remission for a while, a long while. My doc seems to think my chances have improved as I have tolerated the treatment well, all of my blood work is still fairly close to normal. Which he says by their standards is very good news. I feel like I have stood it fairly well although I have slowed down work a lot, prob will take next couple months off sick leave .

Thanks for being here,

RW

Hey RW!

Great news that your bloodwork has been so good! It's also good to read that you're going to give yourself the gift of some down time. It sounds like you are weathering the storm as well as anyone can. I'm looking forward to hearing your scan results, I'm right there with you hoping that this is going to put you into a nice durable remission.

Hi Anita ,

Thanks for being here and all your input, it is really nice to be able to talk to others who have been down this road, especially when it gets rough.

Thanks again,

RW

God bless you through this treatment phase. if you were able to work through the first series of treatments, you must be a very strong person. Don't give up. Keep a positive attitude and rest when your body tells you to.

It is probably a good idea to take some time off of work. I did and am glad I did, just make sure you don't return to early. I think I did and should have given myself another couple of weeks to get my strength back. Sending you healing thoughts.

All around an excellent report. Taking time off from work to heal is a great idea. With your good blood work and reports you'll be back soon enough.

What kind of shrinkage showed in the Ct post 2d Chemo?

Hi Denzie ,

I'm not sure , the radiation doc says it's hard to see exactly what's going on with the low resolution pictures so all he could say was he saw a fair amount of shrinkage. I kind of have a feeling he was impressed all the way around though, just by his way of putting things. And maybe it's just my brain doing some wishful thinking. lol I guess won't know for sure till hi resolution scans after treatment area cools down or whatever . Thanks for being here to talk to. Hope you are feeling better.

Sincerely,

RW

I've learned to trust my instincts when listening to the dr. If he seems impressed he likely was. They are so gosh by darned conscious about saying anything too positive and fear creating false hope that they hedge their words a lot. I will take hope from what you've shared.

Remember the Chemo and radiation together the way your doing it is far more fatiguing but "the sum of the parts become greater than the whole".

Keep kicking that cancer patootie!!!
