I am sorry that chemo is leaving you feeling so bad. I can tell you are a fighter, so keep up the fight. Sending positive thoughts your way.

Sounds really terrible, I am so sorry.

Please remember to relate all your symptoms to your medical team, they need to hear how you are feeling and what is going on with your body.

I wonder, have you gotten a second opinion? Let me know if you need any information to help in that process, or take a look freetobreathe.org/lung-canc.... It talks about second opinions.

Meanwhile, know we are thinking of you and sending hope your way.

Thanks, no second opinion, also found out I have a aneurysm on my bowel just wonder which one will get me first.

Collinjo1 - Well, that is a very good question. Is the cure worse than the cancer? From where I sit, and I sit here with two cancers that we know about. HPV Lung Cancer which is terminal, and recently they found cancer on my right hip, at the ball joint on my femur. Now, although I am terminal, I am still taking the chemo path, knowing there is no cure for what I have, and the best chemo will do is give me "more time".

I have also already "beat" cancer twice before. Kidney Cancer and HPV Throat Cancer.

So, for me, you are asking what is better; Life or Death?

Although my own faith tells me there is a much better place to be once I die, I still enjoy this thing we call life. I still enjoy the little things that make life so much fun. The rain falling on the pond, our cat curled up in my lap, the breeze blowing through the trees that are in an early stage of their own explosion of color followed by a long winter's nap, covered quietly in the white embrace of another Hallmark Family Special splash of powdery snow. Falling ever so gently yet with the evilness that comes with wanting to be a child again and just lay in bed while mom brings you a cup of hot tea.

Yeah, well that is really too much to give up on, even if one has to be sick 5 out of 7 days. Those remaining two days are brilliant, and worth looking forward to seeing, to embrace, to hold just long enough to make the upcoming 5 days well worth it.

So, yeah. Being sick for a few days so you can enjoy a few more is a much better thing to look forward to. Fight on, fight your fight, fair or not, and when the day comes when you no longer wish to fight, step away with dignity knowing you gave it your all. We all face that day when we are told there is nothing more that can be done.

Yet, deep inside, we still are determined to fight.

I guess you are the only person that can actually answer the question you pose. We all have to make that determination, and we all will, at some point or another. I think it will always come down to just how much more can actually be done to keep you living the life you want to live.

I might have been no help, but at least I tried my best. But as for me, my fight goes on even after I am told there is nothing more than can be done. Pretty simple to me, even though I know where this all goes anyway.

Great reply.

I remember thinking... God if it's making me feel this awful, think of what it's doing to the cancer! There was a day, I thought, that's it.. no more. And like Mike said, the good far out weighted the sickness. The beautiful sunrise, my fabulous family, my animals.

Like Mike, I'm not ready to go, so yes for me it was worth it. It's been almost one year! Thank God I'm still here!

I sure hope you get some relief today. I hope you smile and laugh today. Enjoy something you ❤️

Your not alone.
